Pictas Community Launches May 1st
Hey there, Pictas Members!
We've been working behind the scenes to get everything ready, and I'm excited to announce that the interactive community site will be open to everyone on 2024/05/01.
It's all about Community
On the 25th day of April, with 25 test members and 25 course lessons to be created before the end of November, some magic is in the air. I'm so excited to have you join us in the community and start interacting with each other in a more enjoyable and community-centered way.
Paid Plans
As the community grows and the demand for higher-quality content becomes necessary, we will acquire courses and offers from premium creators and instructors. Paid plans will be rolled out from the 25th of May to enable members to access different levels. We will start with the Free and Learn Plans. Later in the year, the Inspire (more premium features) and Create (ability to earn from Pictas) Plans will roll out.
New Website
I'm driven to populate the Resources pages to make material available to anyone visiting the site. If you know of a high-quality tool, software, coach, course, website, etc., that concerns photography, art, or creativity, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Facebook Page
I've just started a new page and would love for you to follow/like it for future updates. The link is in the footer of this mail.
YouTube Channel
To broaden our reach and provide easily accessible lessons, we've got a new YouTube channel. You can subscribe to receive future content notifications. We will make as much free content available here as possible.
Mobile App
Our community site has a mobile app! This way, you can keep your community in your pocket and upload from anywhere you have service.
Artist and Photographer of the Month
Each month, the website will feature a different member's work in a gallery on the home page. Submission will be done inside the community site.
Social Channel Features
We're working toward featuring only posts from our members on our social channels. Pictas is about its community, and I believe that our social voice should celebrate our member's artwork.
Community Site
If you've made it this far, you must be excited about the new community site. Let me list the features you can look forward to:
Collections: A series of Spaces to keep the site organized and make navigation easy. To get orientated, you'll land in the Getting Started collection. From there, you can explore and join the spaces you are interested in.
Spaces: It's almost like a Facebook group but much better. Spaces allow us to have Feed, Discovery, Courses, Members, and Chat sections.
The hubs for different topics will now be spaces. This means that members interested in Portrait Photography have a space dedicated to uploading artwork, chatting with other like-minded members, being featured, and attending livestreams/courses about portrait photography.
Academy. We're focusing on the Pictas Academy in full force. This will be available on paid plans and courses for members to work through. As we grow, more courses by different instructors will be added. We are curating excellent course material by excellent creators to maximize your learning experience.
Livestreams: Our community site enables us to present live streams. Look for exceptional hosts who will show live content and interact with you.
Creators: In our roadmap, we plan to enable creators of instructional content to present their courses to the community. We are figuring out how to monetize this feature so creators can kickstart their businesses inside the community. It’s a big part of our mission to enable creators to flourish.
